@MIT: Egypt’s Entrepreneurs in the Post-Mubarak Era

Will Egypt recover from economic despair? Is there a role for you to play? With 40 percent unemployment and 40 million at poverty line, can we make a difference?

MIT Egyptian Association and fellow TechWadi members think WE CAN. To discover grass root initiatives underway to help Egypt rise, join the conversation led by two entrepreneurs united in purpose, different in perspective: Jawad Nabulsi, a serial entrepreneur, social activist, and founder of Nebny Foundation; and Ossama Hassanein, a Silicon Valley-based mentor and venture capitalist leading several initiatives to promote entrepreneurship and job creation throughout the Middle East.

    Please tell me if you agree or disagree with the following …If the country most talented individuals were discovered and properly placed in the right jobs, they would make big impact on the entire economy. While many people think of jobs bank, we at BasharSoft think of talents bank because “talented individuals” are the most valuable element of the formula

    Hey Muhammad, I fully agree. But hand-in-hand with placing the right talent in the right roles, we also need to be continually educating, training, and mentoring and *increasing* the talent pool. Let me know if you agree or disagree ;)

    Hesham, the point is to rally the expatriate community to *help*… For that we need to do events both in and out of Egypt

    Sorry Roham for late reply, I think this thing should send a notification for new posts.. any way, I agree with you; that’s why we at BasharSoft are working on some plans to expand our scope of service to Talent Development, so it is not only about identifying talents, it’s also about developing the less talented ones
